Community support for Eveleigh bridge

There has been strong support for an Eveleigh bridge over many years. Recently over 2,000 people have signed a petition in support of delivering the bridge. City of Sydney Council supports the bridge as do many surrounding institutions and businesses. Here are two more recent media reports referring to that support.

"University of Sydney vice chancellor Mark Scott sees the Eveleigh plans as a way to finally realise a long-desired bridge linking Australian Technology Park with Carriageworks and its surrounding Tech Central precinct ..."
"The City of Sydney council is pressing the state government to bridge the divide between North and South Eveleigh by building a long-vaunted pedestrian and bike path over the train tracks dividing the developments at historic rail yards in Sydney’s inner south".

Organisation and Public Supporters

As the Campaign picks up we will be asking local institutions and businesses to publicly register as supporters. They will be listed here.

Community Supporters

We expect there will be many residents and visitors who will want to support the campaign. We are not going to try and list everyone. These supporters will be on our email list and kept up to date with news and activities from the Alliance. They will be valuable in feeding in ideas and suggestions and in spreading the word. This letter to David Elliot in 2022 about the Redfern Station Southern Concourse, Clover Moore clearly sets out Council’s support for an Eveleigh Bridge in addition to the bridge supplied by the Southern Concourse.
